The picturesque town of Kinsale
Narrow street in Kinsale and The Lord Kingsale Pub where we stopped in for a beer. Flower pots on homes
and business windows are typical as are narrow streets. Rarely are there shoulders on the roads, so there
are few places to pull off. Often our tour minibus had to stop on roads to ensure that we didn't hit large vehicles
or trucks coming in the opposite direction.
Colorful stores in Kinsale. Brightly painted homes and businesses have become common in Ireland, encouraged

Playing the Irish pipes for the group.
This guy's wife
was expecting a baby any minute, and he was very nervous.
We later heard that the baby was born a couple of days later.
Val Mannings, owner of Mannings Emporium in Ballylickey,
offers one of
the cheeses he has for sale. The Irish are not
known for drinking wine, so that did not accompany the cheese tasting.
We did buy some gooseberry and ginger Irish wine here to try it.
There is a good reason
why they are known for beer and whiskey, not wine.
Seal near Garnish Island on Bantry Bay
A view from Garnish Island. Irish born actress Maureen O'Hara has a home in this area. Garnish Island
was once barren rock, but the owner began planting it with tropical and subtropical trees and flowers in 1910.
